Choir

St Matthew's choir has been in existence since the church was opened in 1858. Its main function is to lead the singing at Sung Services. The choir is also available to sing at weddings and funerals.

The choir meet for practice on Friday evenings at 7pm. New members are always welcome - our current need is for tenors and basses but voices at all levels (soprano, alto, tenors and bass) are most welcome to join.

The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music.
