Baptism

image of parents baby and vicar at the fontDid you know that you don’t have to be a baby to be baptised (‘christened’)? We love it when people of any age come to church to say for themselves or their children that they want to be in a relationship with God and his people.

St Matthew’s church is a great place to take this special first step of faith.

We hold our baptisms on the second Sunday of the month - either during one of our regular services (at 9.30am or 11.15am) or as a separate service at 1pm.

If you live in our parish or have a family connection to St. Matthew’s then come along to meet a member of our clergy team during our Saturday Café, available any Saturday between 10-30am - 11-30am. They will be happy to discuss the details of your special day.

You may find our Guide to Baptism leaflet helpful.

If you have any queries about having your child (or yourself) baptised at St Matthew’s, please see a member of our clergy team at the Saturday Café, or contact us at stmatthewschurchedgeley@gmail.com
