Church Wardens

image of crossThe Church Wardens are ordinary members of the congregation who are elected as officers of the bishop. Their role is laid down in Church Law, and is extremely varied but generally involves management, maintenance, and ministry. They are foremost in representing the congregation and co-operating with the Vicar. As with most roles within a parish, this is a voluntary and unpaid position.

Church Wardens are elected every year and may serve a maximum of 6 years, after which they must have a two year break.
