As Christians, we start our journey through Lent as we hold a service of "ashing" on Ash Wednesday. From there, we travel through Lent, holding a special Lent group to help us focus on practical ways we can connect with God every day. We arrive at Holy Week, with a celebratory Palm Sunday service. On Good Friday, our church is often full of children and families exploring the Easter message through crafts and other activities, followed by a short, family friendly service. On the afternoon of Good Friday, we remember Jesus' great sacrifice by spending an hour at the cross.
On Easter Day, we rejoice that our Lord has been raised from the dead and that we share in His risen life at our special Easter Service with Holy Communion at 10.30am.
We have produced a prayer leaflet to give you some more information on Lent and Easter, with prayers you may find helpful.
